Happy Baby

Today Lizzy and I went shopping and then we went to the park...but when we got there Lizzy was fast asleep. I woke her up and she feel asleep again so we went home. Tomorrow is suppose to be nice outside as well so maybe we can go out with Grandma when she comes over.

Lizzy has been running around in circles while in her walker. We also practice walking without the walker and she is doing good, she takes steps but she doesn't have the balance to walk without help yet.

Lizzy has also shown interest in being on her tummy. She sleeps on her tummy now and flips over onto her tummy when you least expect it. Today, I was changing her and she flipped over 3 times! She also lifts her bottom up and rocks a little. She needs more upper body strength but she may be crawling soon.

Mommy and Baby

Lizzy and I have been spending a lot of time inside due to the weather, here are some pictures of us at home. The weather is suppose to be a high of 60 tomorrow so if that's right we are going to the park.

Here is Lizzy playing with her dance mat. She loves to dance but until she can walk she can't dance alone. She is a very happy baby....today she was smiling all day! We played with bubbles, she ate some pears, and she helped me make dinner. It's freezing here in Houston and we can't go out. I can't wait until it warms up so we can actually go out and do things. Lizzy seems very happy staying in so it's not too bad.

My Pal Violet

Lizzy really likes this doggie she got for Christmas from her Uncle Brian and Aunt Nikki. She smiles real big when it starts playing music or talking to her. It's programed to say her name, favorite food and color. Here she is with "violet"

Waking up

Here are a couple pictures of Lizzy waking up in the morning. We put her to bed each night on her back and she use to just sleep on her side and now she's started sleeping on her tummy which is strange because she doesn't usually like being on her tummy. Maybe she will have interest in crawling soon. She's started walking a little in her walker so we are hoping she will just skip crawling all together. She likes to surprise us so we'll see.

Lizzy's Day

Here is Lizzy's typical day in a nutshell..

Lizzy wakes up talking in here crib and more recently has been waking up on her tummy which is unusual for her.

Lizzy can sit up for her bath now. She likes to splash but still doesn't play too much in the tub.

The Small Screen

We got a portable dvd player for Christmas, so now Lizzy can watch yo gabba gabba anywhere! She doesn't mind the small screen as you can tell....

Happy New Year!

Lizzy went to bed at her normal time on new year's eve around 9pm so we said goodnight and happy new year to her then...and lucky for us she woke up right after midnight so we could give her a new years kiss :)

Goodbye 2009 : (

Saying goodbye to 2009 is bittersweet because that is the year my baby was born. Although, It was the best year yet....there is still much more to come. So...Lizzy and I have made some new year's resolutions.
1. Join a mommy and baby group
2. Join swim lessons and learn to swim!
3. Have the best 1st birthday ever!
4. Learn to walk
5. Try out a yoga class with baby (we tried yoga again and Lizzy didn't have the patience for it so maybe we can try again)
6. Hopefully...go to a gabba live event (I hope they come to Houston this year)
7. Visit Family
8. Say "mommy" or "daddy" : /
9. Continue being super cute!
10. And last but not least...learn to dance! (Dancing babies are sooo cute)

2009 in Review

Day out

We look Lizzy to the park to play. It was a little cool out so Lizzy got to wear a handmade sweater her great aunt Leny made for her. Thank you aunt Leny. She was tired out and slept the way home.

Giggle Fest

My goal is to keep with with Lizzy's blog this coming year. I mostly just upload pictures of Lizzy but my goal is to actually "blog" about what Lizzy is doing. Today was a lot of fun..Bella (our dog) was going crazy for some pizza Mike was eating while Lizzy was sitting there watching her when all of a sudden she just cracked up laughing at Bella for about 5 min (it was really funny) I guess it's really funny to see a dog that's about as tall as you are sitting go crazy and twirl around for pizza in front of you. Lizzy has a very good sense of humor. Unfortunately for those not there, the short movie I took was at the tail end of her "giggle fest" but here it is....
