1st Time Trick or Treating!
After Lizzy got her costume on she was surprised with her trick or treat bag
Then, we headed to the park to trick or treat
Lizzy had lots of fun! She kept looking in her bag and letting us know how many treats she had. She also let us know she likes trick or treating
After some trick or treating we headed home. Lizzy got her pajamas on and then looked through all the treats she got. She picked a treat to eat that night and saved the rest for later. I would say she had a great time trick or treating for the 1st time.

Muffin Tin Meals
Lizzy eats pretty well but she eats even better when she can dip something, and has snack like meals she eat a little here and there from. I noticed muffin tin meals are pretty popular with toddlers so I thought we'd try it. Basically you fill each cup with something different and I think this is appealing to toddlers. We tried a muffin tin meal with chili, different kinds of crackers, and pumpkin bread. Lizzy ate a little bit here and there. I think I will try this again sometime.

Pumpkin Carving
Pumpkin carving 2011.
This year we used a pumpkin gutter to quickly and easily gut the pumpkin. This seemed to work well. You can see from gutted pumpkin. The pumpkin gutter is just an add on you can attach to you drill.
Lizzy didn't mind the touching the slimy pumpkin or the pumkin guts.
We carved a simple traditional pumpkin face like the ones Lizzy is use to seeing in her Halloween books. We slathered the pumpkin in vaseline so it will keep and used electric tea light candles for safety.
Lizzy really likes her carved pumpkin.

Caramel Apples
Lizzy had her first caramel apple this year! Lizzy helped wash the apples. We melted the caramels in the crockpot and dipped the apples but for some reason the caramel didn't stay on these apples so we had to re dip them in a different kind of caramel. Lizzy got real messy and sticky eating her caramel apple.

Feeding Ducks
We took Lizzy to go feed ducks. At first Lizzy got scared because she was bombarded by ducks and as she was backing up she stepped on a duck and fell on the duck. Lizzy cried and was scared for a little bit. One of the ducks bit my finger on accident. So to prevent anymore problems we fed the duck from a bench where they couldn't get us. Lizzy really enjoyed feeding the ducks from the bench.

Apple Prints
Last year we stamped apples onto aprons we worn on Thanksgiving. This year we did this activity again only we stamped onto paper to make cards. Last year I used a plastic knife as the handle to the apple, this year I cut out a handle right on the apple. This worked out soooo much better.
